Did you know that infections like
hepatitis B & C can potentially be transmitted in a nail salon? 😳
Think about it… your nail tech cuts the client before you then uses the same unsterilised scissors or nippers on you and cuts you too.
This is why hygiene is NOT optional!!!
Unfortunately, from what I hear from clients and students and what I see myself ,proper hygiene is still missing in some salons 🚩
Your tools should be properly cleaned,
disinfected AND sterilised between clients if the tool has been in contact with blood!!!
And files should never be shared between clients!!!
And those green nails?
Green discoloration can happen when bacteria grow under lifted product where moisture gets trapped.
It doesn’t automatically mean dirty tools caused it but it should NEVER just be covered with gel and ignored!!!
If you see your nail tech using the same tools straight after another client… RUN 🚩
And if your nail looks like this and you hear “it’s fine we’ll just cover it”… RUN AGAIN 😅
